Delhi is a bustling metropolis and the capital region of India, which includes the national capital city, New Delhi. The area around Delhi was probably inhabited before the second millennium BC, and there is evidence of continuous habitation since at least the 6th century BC. The city is believed to be the site of Indraprastha, the legendary capital of the Pandavas in the Indian epic Mahabharata. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, sacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and therefore the modern conurbation of Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.

The splendour of Agra – capital of all India under the Mughals – remains undiminished, from the massive fort to the magnificent Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is regarded as one of the wonders of the world, and historians have noted that its architectural beauty has never been surpassed. The Taj Mahal was built by a Muslim, Emperor Shah Jahan in the memory of his dear wife and queen Mumtaz Mahal. It is a Mausoleum that houses the grave of queen Mumtaz Mahal at the lower chamber. The Taj Mahal was constructed over a period of twenty-two years, employing twenty thousand workers. It was completed in A.D. 1648.

The Taj Mahal is built entirely of white marble. Its stunning architectural beauty is beyond adequate description, particularly at dawn and sunset. The Taj seems to glow in the light of the full moon. On a foggy morning, the visitors experience the Taj as if suspended when viewed from across the Jamuna river.

Jaipur, also known as ‘Pink City’ was founded by Maharaja Jai Singh II in A. D. 1727. Jaipur is famous for its rich cultural heritage and has today become the most popular tourist destination in India. Here one gets to see the architectural marvels of ancient forts and monuments that stand tall to this day. The city has acquired the name Pink City because of the extensive use of pink color on the walls during the visit of the Prince of Wales. The city is garlanded by the presence of a number of beautiful monuments that echo the splendid history of the city. Detailed Tour Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon you arrival to India International Airport, meet and greet with our representative and after a warm welcome transfer to your pre-booked hotel. Day free for leisure and overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: Delhi - Agra (drive about 04hrs )
Morning after breakfast straight drive towards the city of Love – Agra, on arrival visit the Agra Fort and Evening visit the sunset view of the world famous Taj Mahal, time for shopping and overnight in Hotel. Please note: Taj Mahal is closed on every Friday.
Day 03: Agra – Gwalior – Orchha (drive about 05hrs)
Morning after breakfast straight drive towards the Orchha, enroute visit the Visit Gwalior is synonymous with its Fort, one of the oldest in India. The Tomar King, Man Singh (1486-1516) built the Man Mandir, a six-towered palace decorated with perforated screens, mosaics, floral designs and mouldings in Hindu profusion. Man Singh also built the Gurjari Mahal, a turreted palace of stone - now an archaeological museum. The Fort also contains a mosque and 11th century temples. After exploring the beauty of the hidden place Gwalior, continue drive towards Orchha. Evening free for leisure and overnight in Hotel.
Day 04: Orchha – Khajuraho (drive about 04hrs)
Morning after breakfast visit the sightseeing tour of Orchha covering Jahangir Mahal, Raj Mahal and the Ram Raja Temple.Later, drive to Khajuraho, home of the world famous Kama Sutra carvings. Visit the Chandela Temple Complex, and soak in the spectacular Light and Sound show at the site of the temples.
Day 05: Khajuraho Sightseeing
Morning after breakfast visit the The temples of Khajuraho are a fusion of superb architecture and remarkable art, and you will witness their grandeur today. From Eastern Group of Temples—(Parsunath, Ghantai and Adinath) to the Western Group(Kandariya Mahodeo, Chausath Yogini, and Vishwanath Temple), you’ll be immersed in this World Heritage recognized wonderland. Evening free for leisure and overnight at hotel.
Day 06: Khajuraho – Jhansi (by raod / 04hrs ) Jhansi – Bhopal (by Train)
Morning after breakfast drive back towards Jhansi, on arrival transfer to Railway station to catch the short train to Bhopal, upon your arrival at Railway station pick up and transfer to your hotel. Evening free and overnight at hotel.
Day 07: Bhopal – Sanchi - Udaigiri Caves – Bhopal
Bhopal is a city of old mosques and regal palaces, yet it also is a vibrant modernity to it. The “new” city has an inviting collection of verdant parks and gardens, broad avenues and modern buildings that complement its ancient past. Today, after breakfast discover Sanchi, home to Sanchi Stupa a shining example of the artistic acumen of Buddhist monks. You can see how Buddhist architecture and sculpture evolved between the 3rd century BC and the 12th century A.D. Later, see the State Museum, the Taj-ul-Masajid mosque and also visit the Udaigiri Caves, about 15kms from Sanchi (World Heritage site by UNESCO) and 04kms from Vidisha are group of Rock cut caves sanctuaries. It was produces during the time of Chandrap Gupta II (382 -402AD) , late afternoon drive back to Bhopal and night at hotel.
Day 08: Bhopal – Bhimbetka – Bhopal
Your Central India tour continues as you see the cave paintings in Bhimbetka. These paintings date to the Neolithic era, each depicting the life of prehistoric cave-dwelling humans. Then visit Iskamnagar Garden. Islamnagar Palace was built by Bhopal’s Afghan rulers, and the formal gardens surrounding the palace feature a captivating combination of Hindu and Islamic art.
Day 09: Bhopal – Ujjain – Indore (drive about 05hrs)
Morning after breakfast depart for a long drive to Indore, en route travel to Ujjain, once an important trade centre of India and still one of the holiest pilgrimage centres for Hindus. On arrival check into Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
Day 10: Indore
Morning after breakfast Discover this liberal city containing the extraordinary Kanch Mandir, a Jain temple of mirrors. Rest of day at leisure.
Day 11: Indore – Omeshwar – Maheshwar
Morning after breakfast drive toward to Maheswar, an ancient city on the banks of the sacred Narmada River. Enroute visit the Omkareshwar (a secred Hindu Island) and Explore the city’s ghats, and visit some of the local artisans at the Rehwa Society (famous for textiles) and see some if the unique hand-woven sarees made here called Maheshwari. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 12: Maheshwar – Mandu – Maheswhar
Today, after breakfast discover Mandu, which was once the largest fortified city on the planet. A series of ancient rulers built elaborate palaces like the Jahaz and Hindola Mahals, as well as canals and pavilions. You’ll gain insights into the history of this place once called “City of Joy” before heading back to Maheswar. Evening free for leisure and overnight at hotel.
Day 13: Maheswhar – Aurangbad (by surface) - about 08hrs
Early morning after breakfast, straight drive towards Aurangabad , on arrival transfer & Overnight at Hotel
Day 14: Aurangabad – Ajanta Caves – Aurangabad |
Morning after breakfast visit the Ajanta Caves: Ajanta is one of the world's greatest historical monuments, recognized by UNESCO, located in India. There are 30 caves that were discovered in AD 1819. The first Buddhist cave monuments at Ajanta date from the 2nd and 1st centuries B.C. All of the paintings show heavy religious influence and center around Buddha, Bodhisattvas, and incidents from the life of Buddha and the Jatakas. The Ajanta caves preserve some of the best masterpieces of Buddhist art in India. Continue drive towards the Aurangabad, on arrival transfer & overnight at hotel. PS: AJANTA caves are closed on Every Monday & ELLORA caves are closed on every Tuesday
Day 15: Aurangabad – Ellora Caves – Aurangabad
Morning after breakfast visit the Daulatabad Fort and also visit the Ellora caves, is one of the most wondrous and breathtaking places in India: the Incredible Indian Cave Temples. The 34 monasteries and temples, extending over more than 2 km, were dug side-by-side in the wall of a high basalt cliff. Ellora, with its uninterrupted sequence of monuments traditionally dated from A.D. 600 to 1000, brings the civilization of ancient India to life. Not only is the Ellora complex a unique artistic creation and a technological marvel, but also with its sanctuaries devoted to Buddhism, Hinduism, and Jainism, it illustrates the spirit of tolerance that was characteristic of ancient India and Evening free for leisure and overnight at hotel.
Day 16: Aurangabad – Mumbai
Morning after breakfast transfer to Airport to catch the flight for Mumbai, on arrival transfer to hotel and Day free for leisure. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 17: Mumbai – Departure.
